I went for voluntary repossession in may but with my secured loan and other debts im probably going to owe around 80k (loads i know)!!! i have been advised to go for bankruptcy (i'm a single parent with two children), i really need my bank account can I open another before i go br, and im really scared about going br can anyone offer any advice? i was thinking of opening another account transferring all my dd's just stop paying everything, thats the only way i can afford the costs of br. i owe the bank quite a lot so at least then i would have some money

Do not be scared about going Br We have all be there but it is not scary, it just seems that way.I stopped paying everything to afford the fees. Other than phone calls it will take companies some mths to do anything
Save the fees and then do your own BR online The court /judge and OR are fully sympathic.They all just want to know that you have taken advice and are doing the right thing. It was the best thing that I have done. Once done then I began to sleep again at night.

yeah, as ripski said....dont worry about going br, believe me....it'll feel like a weights been lifted and you'll wonder why you didn't do it months ago.
as for the bank account, co-op cashminder is the way to go, you have to apply over the phone but they are br friendly and you'll get a visa debit card (which you wont get with anyone else) we opened ours before going br and the or wasnt interested in it (didnt get frozen) just transfer your utility bills, you need to keep paying these, and stop paying all loans immediatly to save for your br fees.
