Hi I am looking for some advice, I am looking to petition for my bankruptcy with in the next couple of months once I have saved up my court fees. I have only just returned to work after being unemployed for 4 months. I could do with some advice on the following

My wife is in the process of buying a flat, the mortgage is in her name only and the deposit has come from inheritance of a reletive who did not meet. I will be paying towards bills and food when we move but not the mortgage. Would the trustee think I have a benefical interest in the property?

How will my bankruptcy effect her credit rating?

I got divorced in 2008 and as part of the settlement my ex wife got 13k in cash and I was left with all the debt, is a trustee going to look into this?

Thank you in advance for help

The trustee shouldn't think there is a BI in the property if you are only just moving into it and the deposit is not from your finances.

BR won't affect your wife's credit rating at all unless you apply for joint credit.

If the divorce was settled in court then the trustee shouldn't need to look into the settlement.
