Hi, I will be discharged from bankruptcy on the 22rd december 2009 after 12 months of being bankrupt. My question is that after this will I be able to obtain credit for a van which I need for work purposes? I am aware that it stays on my file for 6 years but I really need to get this credit after iam discharged. Iam not a homeowner as I rent my house as a private tenant. Iam self employed electrician also but has no assets to secure any new debt. Please help, Thank You

Afternoon

It is possible, I used a company called Duncton and they sorted finance for me really quickly after I was discharged. The company I work for stopped giving us company cars and swapped to car allowances, so I used them to purchase a VW Passat.

Take a look at www.duncton.com

I hope that helps.

A few people on the BR forum have recommended Duncton. You will need a hefty deposit, but they are definitely worth a try.

Good luck x
