 does my wife have to pay the full fee?

Hi There

I am in full time employment and due to file my petition for bankruptcy which require £600 cash fee paid my wife wants to file as well no joint debts she only gets family tax credits dont work but does not claim any benifits at all does she have to pay the full fee?

If she is not claiming any means tested benefits, I do not think she will qualify for a lesser fee.

I wish you both well - have you sought any advice - CAB or CCCS?

Hi Getting out of debt

fyi and the above link, the benefits agency have changed the names of some of their benefits, so the first time you read the link it is very confusing as you think that you are not entitled to claim a discount.

I had to ask the bankruptcy clerk to seek clarification, she initially said no and then was told by a supervisor that we would be entitled.
