Hi Nigel

as debt info says if you provide more info then we can give cyber advice. that is sometimes hard.

as a generic answer

the mortgage providers start getting funny once you have missed 3 payments, they try to adhere to the voluntary code and will try to get you to focus only on their debt.

it may be best to sit down and work out who you owe what to and how agressive they are for collecting the money, you can tell by tone of letters (all letters appear aggressive on first reading but with experience you can tell how far they are down the line !).

once you have all the information in one place go and see the CAB or speak to one of the experts on this forum. Bankruyptcy may or may not be the correct option for you, their are many other options dependant on your circumstances and the amount of debt.

I used Paul and his team at Reviva, the initial phone call I had with him enabled me to understand the options available for me,we then worked out an action plan to address my debt issues

Nigel good luck with the path ahead well done for raising you head and trying to look at the situation

regards Richard

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I would be worth speaking to an Insolvency Practitioner who will be able to advise you of your best course of action. Have a look on www.iva.com, where you will be able to find reviews and details of hundreds of companies.
