Rebecca is in a debt management plan (does not have an IVA). She has house repairs to make (new roof). She needs an extra £6,000 and she enquired about a re-mortgage but Northern Rock are not able to do that for any of their customers. She is looking for some advice as to what she can do.

Hi Rebecca and welcome.

Other than trying to get a loan from somewhere I don't think there is a lot you can do. If you stop paying into your DMP then your creditors will start hassling you again.

Hello Rebecca

Given you are already in a debt management plan this means that your credit rating is already poor. As such it will be almost impossible for you to borrow more money. The only other option might be from borrowing from a friend or family member.
