Provided your mobile bill is not regarded a excessive (£100+) you should be able to keep your mobile phone contract-I have know hundreds of cases where this is true.

However, I have heard a deputy district judge state that you can not. (the individual whom he said this to did keep his contract-the judges information was out of date).

Hi

it will also depend on which network you use.
O2 have a reputation for closing accounts when you declare bankruptcy irrespective of what the OR decides.

Hi Tony

I was with o2, they cancelled my contract within 2 weeks of seeing my bankruptcy in the London gazette, they billed me for the remainder of the contract term when they cancelled it, they told me that it is part of their T&C's, luckily for me i had included them on my SoA so the bill is absorbed in my bankruptcy.

Its down to the phone company really.
