As of 9.55 this morning I'm now officially bankrupt.Filled in all the forms with the clerk, spent 10mins with the judge,1 of the nicest men I'v ever met and that was it. Got to wait for a phonecall off or now between 2 and 3.One thing that did surprise me was the way the judge slated IVA'S saying what a waste of time and money they are and how I should have gone bankrupt in the first place(which i do agree with, as all I have done is payed IVA company £10,000 and creditors got next to nothing).Still we live and learn, never will I ever get credit for anything.

Well done Hallway. I am surprised about the judge slating IVA's but maybe he has come across a lot of people in your position with the IVA's failing and people needing to declare BR in the end.

Well done Hallway! Good luck for the future.

I'm surprised at the judge as well - if an IVA works it is a good thing. Problem is that a lot of them have payments set way too high sometimes so they are doomed to failure and the only person who wins then is the IP.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
